What kind of food does Ham and High serve?
Seasonal Southern cuisine using local produce, meats, seafood and house-made ingredients. Dishes change daily, in keeping with the seasons as nature intended. Our menu is thoughtful, exciting, and absolutely unique. But don’t listen to us - listen to what our customers think on the Reviews Page!

Who is the Ham and High team?
We are proud to have a dedicated, talented group of folks, both in the kitchen and front of house. Head Chef Joe Wolfson creates our daily menu featuring the best of the season’s produce and meats. Who are your farmers & suppliers?
The Hampstead Institute Farms natural produce grown just down the street and downtown, Oakview Farms, Dancing Bee Honey, and Sweet Grass Dairy just to name a few.

Why do this at Hampstead?
Hampstead is the natural fit for this type of restaurant. A sustainable community with a farm one block from the restaurant. Where else can you experience that in Montgomery?

What time do you serve Dinner, how many days a week?
We serve Dinner Wednesday through Saturday 5pm til, and Brunch on Sunday 11am - 2pm.


Is Ham and High affiliated with any organizations?
Yes, absolutely. We are members of Slow Food USA, Southern Foodways Alliance, and a strong supporter of local and national organic and non-profit organizations.

What is your thought on wine?
We love it. We have a wonderful wine list focusing on unique, hard to find selections at a great price, and a full bar featuring specialty seasonal cocktails. Don’t forget about our small batch beers too - at Montgomery’s best prices!


Who designed the Ham and High?
McAlpine Tankersley designed the architecture, with interiors & design were by Ashley Gilbreath Interior Design & Matter.

Who owns Ham and High?
Some pals who believe in eating local. With a great creative team in the kitchen, quality and reliability are guaranteed.

Do I need a reservation?
You can always call and reserve a table in advance. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by and join us on a whim. Or have a drink and dine at the bar.

How many seats does the restaurant have?
About 100 in the restaurant & bar, with additional outdoor seating.

Where can guests park?
Parking can usually be found on street in the neighborhood. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant as well.

What credit cards do you accept?
All major credit cards (American Express, Visa, Mastercard).

Do you have gift certificates?
Yes, in any denomination. Ask your server or the manager and they will get all the gift certificates you want. A perfect gift for holidays and birthdays!
